Jul 26 2019
Carroll County School System hosted its 7th Annual Safety Summit, sponsored by the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office on Friday, July 26. Attendees included first responders from local public safety and health agencies, as well as school personnel from all 23 county schools.
Carroll County School System was the first district in Georgia to implement an annual safety summit and continues to make school safety its top priority. The summit’s primary objectives are to review current safety measures and to train school personnel on how to be prepared for a variety of situations.
“The safety summit provides us with a unique opportunity to work with all of our local public safety agencies to ensure that our processes and procedures are aligned and focused on the safety of all students,” said Terry Jones, Assistant Superintendent of Student Services.
