“The SMI Christmas Basketball Tournament is a great opportunity for the county schools to play each
other and to face good outside competition,” said Jared Griffis, Principal of Central High School. “We
are blessed with quality basketball programs at all of our county schools. This tournament provides a
format for our teams to hone their skills against each other in preparation for region play in January. It is
a great opportunity for our community to come out and watch some great basketball. The contribution
of SMI to our schools and to this tournament is very generous and makes it possible to successfully
host a tournament of this size. SMI has continuously shown a commitment to help all programs that
benefit our students. They are a wonderful example of our community investing in our students and
their futures.”
