Carroll County Schools Names Assistant Principal for Central Elementary School

Carroll County Schools named Lindsey Long as the new Assistant Principal for Central Elementary School at the September 18 Board Meeting. Mrs. Long most recently served as Special Education In School Coordinator at Central Elementary. She earned her Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree and Specialist in Early Childhood Education from the University of West Georgia. Mrs. Long is married to BJ Long, and they reside in Whitesburg with their three children, Jack, Caroline and Sara Beth. “Mrs. Long is a great asset to the leadership team at Central Elementary,” said Scott K. Cowart, Superintendent of Carroll County Schools. “She is passionate about providing all students with a premier learning environment and is dedicated to continuing Carroll County Schools’ commitment to excellence in academics, arts and activities.” “I am honored and excited to be selected to serve as an Assistant Principal at Central Elementary. I am strongly committed to utilizing every opportunity that I am given to make a difference within the classroom, the Central Cluster, and Carroll County Schools,” stated Mrs. Long.
