Carroll County Schools has been ranked in the top 18% of school districts in Georgia, according to a web database containing profiles for over 136,000 schools in the United States.  This listing states that the Carroll County School District has improved 14 spots over last year.  Schools are ranked based on test scores supplied by the Georgia Department of Education and then calculated for an Average Standard Score by normalizing and averaging each school's test scores across all tests and grades.

“Being nationally recognized as being among the top school districts in the state is another validation of the excellent work that the schools in Carroll County are doing for our students,” said Scott Cowart, Superintendent of Carroll County Schools.  “This is something that our entire community can be proud of.”

“It is great to see entities outside our local media recognizing the quality of education Carroll County Schools offer,” said Dr. Jon Anderson, Chairman of the Carroll County Board of Education.  “This recognition is a testament to the hard work of our teachers, administrators, staff, and leaders at the district level.  We will continue to build on this and other successes to ensure a bright future for all of our students.”
