Program Awards:

Carroll County School Nutrition Program

Carroll County School Nutrition Program has been awarded the distinction of a District of Excellence by the national School Nutrition Association. Only 70 school systems nationally have achieved this honor. A District of Excellence program demonstrates its knowledge and fulfillment of superior performance in providing nutritious food and a healthy educational environment for all students.

Carroll County School Nutrition Association

Carroll County School Nutrition Association received the Gold Scroll Award from the Georgia School Nutrition Association for the 2006-2007 year. This award is given to a school system for its accomplishments in providing quality nutrition programs to its students. Lisa George, manager at Temple High School, was the local President for 2005-06.

Carroll County School Nutrition Program

Carroll County School Nutrition Program was selected as the USDA Southeast Regional Winner in the Best Practices category of Improving Student Participation in 2006.

Congrats Robin Cook

Carroll County won second place in the Georgia Association Public Relations Portfolio contest. Robin Cook, school nutrition assistant, is responsible for compiling the winning entry.

Congrats Bridgett Cross

Bridgett Cross, lead manager for the school system, received two scholarships and a grant-in-aid from the Georgia School Nutrition Association to further her education.

Congrats Lisa George

Lisa George, the Bay Springs Middle Nutrition Advisory Council came in third place in the State NAC of the Year contest.

Congrats Patty Howe

Patty Howe was selected by the Georgia School Nutrition Association as the State Heart of the Program winner. This award is given to an individual who best exhibits an extraordinary commitment to the School Nutrition Program. Patty’s excellent customer service attitude, the willingness to go the extra mile earned her this special award.
