The School Social Worker provides direct services for students experiencing physical, social and family problems. Referrals are received from school personnel, community agencies, parents/guardians, and others who are concerned about students' being successful at school. The School Social Worker: serves as a link between home, school, and community resources and services works with students, parents, school personnel, community agencies and others in the areas of school attendance, academic progress, and social/emotional adjustment works with the Juvenile Court and the Department of Juvenile Justice in the enforcement of the Compulsory Attendance Law.
