Congratulations to Bowdon High School alumnus Nick Jones who helped coach the Los Angeles Rams to a Super Bowl victory! Jones serves as an offensive assistant on the Rams staff. After a stellar football career for the Red Devils, Jones was a four-year letterman at the University of Georgia where he was elected co-captain in 2006 and earned offensive MVP and the Coaches Leadership Award for the Bulldogs as a senior. Jones was also the recipient of the Leon Farmer Strength and Conditioning Award and was chosen for the Academic Roundtable for excellence in the classroom and on the field. Following his collegiate career, Jones played for the Seattle Seahawks from 2007-09 before beginning his coaching career at the University of Georgia as an offensive graduate assistant in 2010. Jones was inducted into the Bowdon High School Athletics Hall of Fame in 2017.
