Board of Education Extends Superintendent Contract

The Board of Education voted to extend Superintendent Scott Cowart’s contract for the next 12-months at the Monday, May 15th Work Session. Cowart is a 44-year veteran educator and has served as the Superintendent of Carroll County School System since 2010. Under his leadership, the district has received numerous awards and accolades including being named a Top Workplace locally and in the metro-Atlanta area for the past several years.

“Mr. Cowart is a passionate, dedicated leader who will continue to move our district in a positive direction. We look forward to the upcoming school year,” shared Board Chairman, Bryant Turner.
