Bowdon High School Athletes Earn GHSA Class A Public State Track and Field Titles

Dasia Wyatt, a sophomore at Bowdon High School, was named GHSA Class A Public State Champion in the high jump, clearing 5-2. Wyatt also earned a state title in the 400-meter event with a time of 59.90 and finished in second place in the 800-meter event with a time 2:24.30. Additionally, she was recognized as the highest scoring female athlete in Class A. Zaylin Wood, a junior from Bowdon High School, won the GHSA Class A Public State Championship in shot put with a distance of 50-6.75. Matthew Bass is the girls' and boys' head track and field coach for Bowdon High School. The GHSA Class A Public State Track and Field Championships were presented by the Atlanta Track Club and were held at Hugh Mills Stadium in Albany, Georgia.
