Bowdon Middle School Named Georgia Department of Education Title I Reward School

The Georgia Department of Education (GADOE) recently named Bowdon Middle School (BMS) a 2019-2020 Title I Reward School. BMS is the eighth Carroll County school to be ranked among the top schools in the state this year.
Scott Estes, principal of Bowdon Middle School stated, “We are so blessed at Bowdon Middle School with fantastic teachers, the finest students, and supportive parents! It is such an honor for us to be recognized by the state, and we are truly thankful. ”
Dr. Jessica Ainsworth, Assistant Superintendent of School Performance added, “It is very exciting that Bowdon Middle School is among the top-performing schools in Georgia. We are so proud of the great work they are doing to positively impact the lives of our students.”
The GADOE honors successful schools that are making significant progress in closing the achievement gap and improving academic performance. Reward Schools rank among the top 5% of Title I schools in Georgia that are making the most progress in improving performance for the all-students group for two consecutive years on statewide assessments.
