Lucas Brock -- an agriculture educator at Central Middle School, Carroll County School's Teacher of the Year, and a current finalist for Georgia Teacher of the Year -- has been named 2023 Outstanding Early Career Teacher of the Year by the Georgia Vocational Agriculture Teacher Association.
The National Association of Agricultural Educators Outstanding Early Career Teacher Award program encourages young teachers to remain in the profession and to promote and recognize participation in professional activities. NAAE members who are in their third, fourth, fifth, sixth, or seventh year of teaching at the time they apply are eligible for this award. Brock was winner of the same GVATA award last year.
Brock will now compete against the other state winners from Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, South Carolina, and North Carolina at the National Association of Agricultural Educators Region 5 Conference this summer.
