The Carroll County Board of Education welcomed its newest Board Member, Bryant Turner, at the July 16 Board Meeting. Turner will be representing District 7. He is a long-time resident of Carroll County and a graduate of the University of West Georgia. He has been an advocate and volunteer for Carroll County Schools for decades. Turner currently serves as PTO president for Roopville Elementary School and president of the Central High School Marching Pride Band Boosters. Additionally, he has served as the Minister of Music and Church Administrator for Roopville Road Baptist Church for the past 23 years. Turner and his wife, Beth, have three children, Madelyn, Samuel, and Joe.
“I’ve had a passion for the schools in this area for many years,” said Turner. “I feel strongly about the need for experienced leadership in this role, and I’m honored to serve the families in District 7.”
