Feb 27 2019
Mr. Brandon Ledford, Educator at Ithica Elementary School, was chosen to attend the White House History Teacher Institute this summer, hosted by the White House Historical Association in Washington, DC. This nationally recognized program focuses on the history of the White House and how the stories from the Executive Mansion can enhance the teaching of social studies in the classroom. During this five-day teacher workshop, Mr. Ledford will have the opportunity to participate in discussions with historians, conversations with former White House staff members, local site visits including a tour of Lafayette Park, inquiry-based learning activities at the Diplomacy Center within the U.S. Department of State, and a tour of the White House.
Carroll County School System would like to recognize Mr. Ledford on being selected as a participant in the White House History Teacher Institute and for his commitment to providing premier learning opportunities for our students.
