Carroll County School System celebrated the dedication of its new Amphitheatre in memory of the late Dennis M. Thompson. Thompson worked for Carroll County Schools for nearly 30 years and served as Chief Technology Officer until his passing in March 2016. Thompson’s family and friends gathered with Board members, district leaders, school administrators and staff to reminisce about his legacy and unveil a plaque in his honor.
The Dennis M. Thompson Amphitheatre is part of phase II of the Carroll County Performing Arts Center campus. There are plans for a pavilion and additional beautification for the site later this year.
