Carroll County School System Educators Complete GLISI Advanced Leadership Training

May 31 2018

Carroll County School System is pleased to announce that twelve of its rising leaders recently completed a two-year advanced leadership program through a partnership from the Georgia Leadership Institute for School Improvement (GLISI) and the District. By taking part in the program, participants gained invaluable opportunities in effective leadership practices to further their professional growth.

District Leaders and Administrators were invited to attend the final session where each participant shared their capstone project they planned and implemented in their respective schools. The projects included topics, such as, “Aspiring Through Perseverance”, “How to” videos for Special Education teachers, “Leveraging the Community, Media Center and Classroom to Promote Reading Outside of School” and many others.

“We are very proud of each of these educators who have continued to grow their leadership qualities through the GLISI program and have also demonstrated their commitment to changing the lives of all students in Carroll County,” said Scott Cowart, Superintendent of Carroll County Schools.
