Carroll County School System Names New Principal for Sharp Creek Elementary School

Carroll County School System is pleased to announce that Dr. Kiley Thompson will serve as Principal of Sharp Creek Elementary School. Dr. Thompson is a fourth generation educator with 17 years of experience in classroom instruction and educational leadership. She earned a bachelor’s degree in secondary science education from the University of Georgia, a master’s degree in Special Education, and a doctorate in School Improvement from the University of West Georgia. Dr. Thompson is married to David Thompson, and they have two children, Jake and Lillian.

Dr. Thompson stated, “I am overjoyed to be given the opportunity to lead the amazing students and faculty at Sharp Creek Elementary. My experience in elementary, middle, and high school instruction and leadership have prepared me for the opportunities ahead, and I am thrilled to join a team of talented teachers and leaders as we guide Sharp Creek on the path of success.”

“Dr. Thompson is passionate about creating innovative learning opportunities for all students, and I am confident that she will continue to enhance the many programs Sharp Creek Elementary offers,” said Scott Cowart, Superintendent of Carroll County Schools.
