Carroll County Schools Hosts 2nd Annual History Bee
Apr 27 2018
Carroll County School System’s Elementary History Bee was held on Friday, April 27, at Whitesburg Elementary School. Twelve teams comprised of students throughout the district participated in the event and competed head-to-head to be the first to “buzz-in” with the correct answer. Mt. Zion Elementary School won first place, and the second place title was awarded to Ithica Elementary School.
“Our primary goal with the History Bee is to inspire students to be excited about learning, competing and having fun with social studies,” said Dr. Marissa Ogando, Principal of Whitesburg Elementary and History Bee Coordinator. “We are very proud of all of this year’s participants and look forward to continuing to offer our students fun, competitive academic opportunities.”
