Carroll County Schools Hosts District Academic Competition
Nov 21 2019
Carroll County School System held its annual Academic Competitions for middle and high school students. All six Carroll County middle Schools competed, with Bay Springs Middle School winning first place, Villa Rica Middle School earning second place, and Temple Middle School finishing in third place.
The high school competition included teams from all five Carroll County high schools. Mt. Zion High School won first place, Temple High School finished in second place, and Villa Rica High School earned third place.
“We had highly competitive matches at both the high school and middle school
levels throughout the day. Holding a premier event like this allows our students to both showcase their talents and apply their knowledge in a tournament format. It is simply one of our best days as a system,” stated Dr. Travis Thomas, Director of Teaching and Learning Secondary Education and Assessment.
