On Thursday, November 8, students from Carroll County high schools participated in the first Carroll County Career and Aviation Day. Students were able to meet with representatives from West Georgia Technical College and the University of West Georgia, connect with local businesses, and interact with military personnel. This event supports Carroll County’s efforts to encourage our graduates to be enrolled, employed, or enlisted.
Special thanks goes to SGT Tyler Vanlandingham from the Georgia Army National Guard for organizing the event. Also, additional appreciation goes to West Georgia Regional Airport for hosting this memorable occasion and to the Transportation Education Foundation of Georgia (TEFGA) and the Experimental Aircraft Association (EEA) for providing the resources necessary for making this day, a premier one for Carroll County students.
