Carroll County Teacher Receives Georgia Power New Teacher Assistance Grant

Melissa Davis, a first year teacher for Carroll County School System, was chosen as a recipient of Georgia Power’s New Teacher Assistance Grant. She was awarded $1,000 to help with the purchase of materials and supplies for her classroom.

All public colleges in Georgia that have education programs are eligible to submit nominations. Mrs. Davis was selected to receive the award by being in the top 25 percent of her graduating class and by showing a high aptitude for teaching while in college.
