Celebrating Career, Technical & Agricultural Month, Early Childhood Education pathway students from CCA South made and donated heart pillows for breast cancer patients. The students chose this as a service project for their Career Technical Service Organization, Future Georgia Educators. The heart pillows assist in breast cancer recovery by helping protect sensitive spots after a mastectomy or lump removal. Many of the fabrics used to create these pillows were donated by the Board of Directors of the Southeastern Quilt & Textile Museum located in Carrollton. The pillows were presented to Mrs. Venita Steed, RN, Program Director for Tanner Breast Health, on Wednesday, February 15, 2023, by ECE / FGE students. Mrs. Deana Crews is ECE Teacher and FGE Adviser, and Ms. Cynthia Jones, career & technical instructor.
