Central High School Principal Jared Griffis announced today that senior Naomi Norbratten has been named a Commended Student in the 2021 National Merit Scholarship Program. A Letter of Commendation from Central High School and the National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC), which conducts the program, has been presented to Naomi.

About 34,000 Commended Students throughout the nation are being recognized for their exceptional academic promise. Commended Students placed among the top 50,000 scorers of the more than 1.5 million students who entered the 2021 competition by taking the 2019 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.

“Naomi represents a valuable national resource; her accomplishments, as well as the key role she plays in our school, has helped create an academic atmosphere for our student body,” said Principal Griffis. He continued, “I am very proud of Naomi and honored to award her the Commended Student distinction.”
