College & Career Academy students earned top honors at the Georgia SkillsUSA State Leadership & Skills Conference, where they competed against hundreds of other students in a state-wide competition. Twenty students from the North and South campuses showcased their industry skills acquired while attending the Career Academies. This year's conference was held at the Georgia International Convention Center in Atlanta on March 22 - 24th.
The following members placed in the competition: Brettney Kendrick, 1st Place, Commercial Baking; Cody Key, 1st Place, Automotive Electrical Ignition; Charlee Washington and Kaelyn Williams, 1st Place, Television Production; Nicole Dunlap, 2nd Place, Restaurant Service; Drew Zenefski, 2nd Place, Culinary Arts; Yanisha Marchman, 2nd Place, Culinary Arts; Thatcher Phillips, 3rd Place, T-Shirt Design; Ethan Leese and 3rd Place, Automotive Service Technology.
