Central High School Head Football Coach and Athletic Director was honored this week by his peers and colleagues. Darius Smiley was named 5-AAAA Athletic Director of the Year, an honor awarded by other Region 5-AAAA Athletic Directors.
Coach Smiley oversees wrestling, basketball, baseball, soccer, track, tennis, golf, and gymnastics during spring semester. This is his 3rd year in the head football coach position with Central High School.
Principal Jared Griffis stated, “Coach Smiley is very deserving of this award. I am proud that others, outside of this school, have recognized his work. We are grateful that Coach Smiley is at Central High and can influence so many students' lives in the roles he fills for us.”
