Ithica Elementary Wins First Place in Annual Carroll County Reading Bowl

Carroll County School System hosted its third annual Reading Bowl on February 1, 2019. Teams from all 12 elementary schools participated in six rounds of competition with ten questions each. All of the questions were based on the nominees for the Georgia Book Award, which consisted of 10 chapter books. Ithica Elementary won first place, Mt. Zion Elementary won second place, and Central Elementary finished in third place. Ithica and Mt. Zion will attend the Regional Helen Ruffin Reading Bowl on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at the University of West Georgia.
