Kiwanis Art & Music Showcase Winners

Carroll County Schools took three of the top spots in the 2022 Kiwanis Art and Music Showcase, an annual juried exhibition sponsored by the Carrollton Center for the Arts and the Kiwanis Club of Carrollton. The show is open to all high school students in Carroll County from public, private and homeschool settings.

In the Music showcase, Villa Rica High School Senior Owen Haynes won second place and a $400 scholarship. He played Fantasia for Alto Saxophone by Claude Smith, accompanied by Yoshimi Yano on piano.

In the Art competition, Temple High School Senior Jacey Singleton won first place and a $400 scholarship for the painting titled “Wrath,” which will be entered in the Georgia District Showcase in April as the 12th Grade representative from Carrollton. 

Also in Art, Central High School Junior OliviaVande Kerkoff won second place and a $300 scholarship for her untitled pastel, which will be entered in the Georgia District Showcase in April as 11th Grade representative from Carrollton.
