Mount Zion Middle School Future Business Leaders of America Receives 2nd Place Recognition at Region 7 Leadership Conference

Mount Zion Middle School FBLA attended the Region 7 Leadership Conference held at Villa Rica High School on January 23, 2020. The chapter received 2nd place honors for Largest Local Chapter Membership in Region 7. The region consists of Carroll, Heard, Haralson, Cobb, Harris, Coweta, Meriweather, Paulding, Talbot, Troup, and Douglas counties.
The following members from Mt. Zion Middle School placed in the top 5 in individual and team events at region and will advance to the FBLA Middle Level State Conference in Covington, Ga. in February: Paige Julien placed 1st in Digital Citizenship; Addie Smith placed 1st in Elevator Speech; the team of Chloe Brown, Kaitlen Chard, and Kendall Parker placed 1st in Invention Convention; the team of Kylee Ayers, Elizabeth Becerra and Brooke Griffis placed 2nd in Invention Convention; Elizabeth Becerra placed 2nd in Business Math & Financial Literacy; Kaydence Moore placed 2nd in FBLA Concepts; Maggi Gibson placed 3rd in Career Exploration; Victoria Harris placed 3rd in Public Speaking; Chloe Brown placed 4th in Career Exploration; Kaitlen Chard placed 4th in Computer & Internet Concepts; and Wendy Villalba placed 5th in Career Exploration. All participating members placed in the top 10 in at least one event.
The principal of Mt. Zion Middle School is Ms. Connie Robison, and the FBLA adviser is Mrs. Tewanna Brown.
