Villa Rica High School is pleased to announce that Villa Rica High School teacher Maggie Manley has been named State Sponsor-Elect for the Georgia Beta Club.
VRHS Principal Seth Rogers stated that “We are thrilled that Mrs. Manley was chosen for this position. She has done an amazing job of building our Beta Club here on campus and I know she will excel in this role. I am so excited that others around the state will get to see how passionate and hardworking Maggie is.”
As State Sponsor-Elect, Manley will train with the current State Sponsor to learn to oversee all of the state’s chapters of the National Senior Beta Club, as well as plan and coordinate the state’s Beta Convention each January. After her two-year training period, she will then assume the title of State Sponsor.
Manley joined the VRHS staff in 2015 and became the school’s Beta Club Sponsor in 2017. Since then, she has loved working with students to improve their leadership skills while serving the community through volunteer work.
“I was a member of the Beta Club as a student, so it is incredibly rewarding to continue my Beta journey as Villa Rica’s Sponsor,” Manley said. “I am eager to take the next step to learn more about the club’s operation at the state level. More than anything, I am thrilled to help bring recognition to our amazing Beta students and spotlight the work they do every day to improve our community. Their accomplishments deserve so much praise.”
