Mt. Zion Middle School Boys’ Basketball Team Wins Small School Championship

The Mt. Zion Middle School Boys’ Basketball team completed a “Cinderella” finish to their season. After defeating Temple Middle School in the play-off game on Monday, January 28th, they went on to defeat the top seeded Heard County Middle School team in the semifinals on Friday, February 1st, by one point. On Saturday, February 2nd, the MZMS team faced the host Villa Rica Middle School in the finals and came away with a last second three point shot to complete the remarkable tournament run by winning the WGMSAC Small School Championship.
