MZES Captures Reading Bowl Crown

All 12 Carroll County elementary schools competed in the sixth annual Carroll County Reading Bowl January 26. Hosted by Ithica Elementary, the bowl featured a quick game show format of four rounds with 15 questions each. All questions were based on 10 chapter books which were nominated for the Georgia Book Award. Mt. Zion Elementary won first place and Sharp Creek Elementary took second place. Both teams will compete in the regional Helen Ruffin Reading Bowl on Saturday, February 12.
