May 13 2021

Representatives from Pilgrim’s Pride presented a check in the amount of $190,000 to Carroll County School System for the district’s new agricultural education center. The project will include the education facility, as well the development of 10 acres of garden space and pastures with animal handling facilities for cattle and equipment storage. Construction is scheduled to begin in the Fall of 2021.

Carroll County School System is a leader in agricultural education with award-winning programs offered for middle and high school students in grades 6-12.

“Agriculture is a vital part of our local and state economy, and we are very appreciative to Pilgrim’s Pride for investing in our students to continue to expand their knowledge and interest in a field of study that will positively impact our community for many years to come,” stated Scott Cowart, Superintendent of Carroll County School System.
