Providence Elementary Partners with UWG to Offer After-School Art Program

Oct 31 2018

Providence Elementary School is partnering with the University of West Georgia’s Art Education Department to offer an After-School Art Enrichment Program. The “Paw Prints” pilot program was launched on October 22 and will serve 30 students in grades 3rd – 5th for the 2018-2019 school year.

Paw Prints is designed to allow students the opportunity to be creative and use their imagination for a variety of art projects. Some of these projects directly connect back to other on-campus initiatives, such as designing garden markers for the Providence Patch.

“We are thrilled to be partnering with UWG to offer another premier opportunity for our students,” said Christi McLendon, Principal of Providence Elementary School. “In Carroll County, we believe in providing children with premier experiences that encourage a lifelong love of learning.”
