Carroll County Schools honored retirees from across the system with a celebration May 18. Retiring employees and their guests enjoyed a reception prior to the Carroll County Board of Education meeting where the board and Superintendent Scott Cowart recognized them for their dedication and service to the students of Carroll County. The Bowdon High School and Mount Zion High School combined chorus provided music. During the ceremony, each retiree was given the opportunity to “pass the baton” to someone else who will carry on his or her legacy.
