State names Exemplary English Learner and Teacher

The Georgia Department of Education has named Jesus Garduno Ortega as an Exemplary English Learner and Kelly Watson as an Exemplary ESOL Teacher for 2022-2023. The state recognized 47 English Learners from 18 different countries and 13 languages other than English. These students were recognized for outstanding academic achievement and leadership in their school and community. Sixty Exemplary ESOL Teachers were recognized for extraordinary commitment and excellence in English learner education. Congratulations!
