Temple Middle School Receives $5,000 Grant for STEM Learning Initiatives

Oct 19 2018

Temple Middle School was recently awarded a $5,000 grant from Kinder Morgan Foundation to purchase mobile learning environments for the Media Center.  Mrs. Limbaugh, Media Specialist at TMS, plans to use the mobile learning environments as an extension of classroom learning, by offering STEM-based Makerspaces where students come to participate in STEM self-led, inquiry-based learning activities. The mobile learning environments will allow for group style learning and will help facilitate the STEM Makerspace activities throughout the school year.

Kinder Morgan is one of the largest energy infrastructure companies in North America and believes that today's youth are tomorrow's leaders. Their mission is to provide students with opportunities to learn and grow and their goal is to help today's science, math, and music students become the engineers, educators, and musicians who will support diverse communities for many years to come.
