Two Carroll County Educators Nominated for Life Changer of the Year Award

Mrs. Rana Raughton of Bowdon Elementary School (BES) and Mr. Larry Weaver of Temple High School (THS) have been nominated for the Life Changer of the Year Award.
Mrs. Raughton is a 24-year veteran educator at BES. She currently teaches fourth grade Math and Science. In addition to her commitment to BES students, Mrs. Raughton also serves her community as a member of civic clubs in Woodland, Alabama. She has two daughters.
Mr. Weaver serves as the In-School Coordinator (ISC) for Exceptional Children Services at Temple High School. Along with serving as ISC, he also Co-Teaches World Literature, 10th Grade Literature and Composition, and is the head softball coach for THS. Mr. Weaver has been an educator and coach for 13 years. He and his wife have two children.
LifeChanger of the Year is an annual program sponsored by National Life Group that recognizes and rewards K-12 educators and school employees across the country. The program celebrates those who are making a significant difference in the lives of students by exemplifying excellence, positive influence, and leadership.
