Villa Rica Elementary Student wins First Place at Arts Festival Competition

Annaleigh Peppers, a student at Villa Rica Elementary, won 1st Place recognition in Elementary Artworks at the Carrollton Center for the Arts and the Arts Festival.  Artwork was created by Villa Rica Elementary 5th grade students based on the work of Kimmy Cantrell, an Atlanta based artist known for his giant clay faces. Students used cardboard, tissue mache, paint, oil pastels and other supplies that could be glued on. Ms. Autumn Shad is the art educator at Villa Rica Elementary School.
