Cody Skinner, Head Softball Coach for Villa Rica High School (VRHS), was named Coach of the Year for Region 6-5A. Coach Skinner has been at VRHS for six years. During the 2020 season, he led his team to a 21-9 record, with a 12-1 region record. This is the first time in history that the Lady Cats have earned the title of Region Champions in fast pitch softball. VRHS Principal, Seth Rogers states, “Coach Skinner has done a tremendous job with our program, and we are excited to see what the future holds.”
In addition to Coach Skinner’s recognition, several Lady Cats received accolades as well.
