During the week of February 5-9, Carroll County Schools hosted six On the Table events in partnership with the Community Foundation of West Georgia. The community foundation leads its On the Table initiative to encourage people around West Georgia to sit together around a table and discuss issues and community areas of improvement.
"This is an opportunity to gather with friends, neighbors, and some people you don’t know to listen and learn about issues that impact our community. We will be able to talk about our personal experiences and listen to others." ~CFWG
Each school cluster within Carroll County -- Bowdon, Central, Mount Zion, Temple and Villa Rica -- hosted an event, and the district office also hosted an event at the Teaching and Learning Building.
Thank you to our community leaders who were willing to sit down with school and district leaders to discuss our successes and the areas where we can grow. We greatly value open lines of communication and honest conversation that leads to improvement.
