State Technology Fair winners

College & Career Academy North student Champ Evans  first place at the Georgia Student Technology Competition, while two student teams were state runners-up and a senior student won the Lou Dewberry Scholarship. 

Evans won the multimedia applications contest for grades 11-12. Central Elementary School students Camp Chadwick & Hudson Frame were runners-up in the internet applications contest for grades 3-4 . Temple Elementary School students Daniel Bosques & Jace Howard were runners-up in the productivity design contest for grades 3-4 . 

Villa Rica High School senior Evan Porter competed in the Animation category and received the Lou Dewberry Scholarship, which was established in 2007 in honor of the founder and first director of the Georgia Educational Student Technology Competition. 

Across the state of Georgia and nationally, Carroll County Schools is a leader in STEM education with 19 district STEM certified schools and 14 nationally STEM certified schools.
