Welcome back eclipse Monday April 8

We’re so excited about school being back in session tomorrow that we’ve scheduled a solar eclipse to celebrate! Well, that’s not entirely true, but during the afternoon of Monday, April 8, our area will be affected by a solar eclipse. There will be no change to our daily schedule. With totality happening further to our west and north and the timing late in the school day, it is not ideal for viewing, but many of our schools are planning lessons and activities around this event. Even students who are not involved in eclipse activities will be likely be outside for recess, class changes, sports practices, school dismissal or for other reasons between 1:45 p.m. and 4:20 p.m. Protective glasses will be provided for all students, and these glasses should be worn when viewing the eclipse. Schools have sent more detailed information home about their specific eclipse activities. If you have questions about the eclipse or your school's activities, please contact the school directly. We’ll see you in the morning, wearing our cool eclipse shades!
