Eddie Slowikowski, a former world class runner and gold medal winner for USA Track & Field Team, shared his inspirational ideas with seniors from all five Carroll County high schools August 21 at the Carroll County Schools Performing Arts Center.
Slowikowski was a three-time Division 1 NCAA All-American and national cross country champion from Loyola University and the 169th American to run a mile in under 4 minutes.
Students from Bowdon High School, Central High School, Mount Zion High School, Temple High School and Villa Rica High School joined for a morning of encouragement and challenge from system leaders and Slowikowski. As the students are starting their senior year, Slowikowski shared his perspectives and tips for how to make the most of it.
