Bay Springs Middle School Teacher Lauren Cramer has been named the 2024-2025 Georgia Middle School Science Teacher of the Year by the Georgia Science Teachers Association.
The GSTA Science Teacher of the Year award recognizes a distinguished teacher who exhibits ongoing excellence in the teaching of science and commitment to its improvement. The award is available for elementary school, middle school, high school, and college science teachers with four or more years of classroom experience. Award winners are selected based on an application process including lesson plans, reflections, professional engagement and letters of recommendation.
Cramer receives a cash prize and complimentary registration for the 2025 Georgia Science Teachers Association Annual Conference in January.
