Clergy breakfast - Scott Cowart speaks

Carroll County Schools invited local clergy to breakfast at the Carroll County Schools Performing Arts Center January 31 to hear updates from the system and learn more about partnership opportunities. Central Middle School eighth grader Ava Whittenburg provided music, and student ambassadors Mary Lois Griffis and Emanuel Armira Montenegro provided the invocation and the pledge of allegiance. Superintendent Scott Cowart presented a posthumous recognition to Mrs. Mary Sauls, wife of the late Bishop Sam Sauls, for Bishop Sauls's many years of service to the community and local schools. Bowdon Baptist Church Senior Pastor the Rev. Justin Richards and Bowdon High School junior Gabe Probst shared their experience with the Christian Learning Center concept in operation at Bowdon High. Clergy represented a large cross-section of the faith community in Carroll County. Thank you to everyone who made it a great morning!
