Carroll County Schools honored retirees from across the system with a celebration May 15. Retiring employees and their guests enjoyed a reception prior to the Carroll County Board of Education meeting during which the board and Superintendent Scott Cowart recognized them for their dedication and service to the students of Carroll County. The Carroll County Schools ELEVATE Chorus made up of two students from each of Carroll County's 23 schools provided music. During the ceremony, each retiree was given the opportunity to “pass the baton” to someone else who will carry on his or her legacy.
