Carroll County Schools welcomed teachers and school staff back for the 2025-26 school year this week with learning, planning and a healthy dose of school spirit. Welcome events, keynote speeches and board member visits started Thursday, while Friday is a day of professional learning with grade-band and subject area sessions at locations across the district.
The District Professional Learning Day provides opportunities for educators to enhance their teaching skills through specialized workshops, curriculum planning/updates and collaborative planning. Other departments including school nutrition, transportation and the business office held kickoff events to prepare their employees for the new year, as well.
Preplanning for the new year continues next week as schools begin Open House events to welcome students and their family members to campus. The first day of school is Friday, August 1.
