MZHS seniors at senior expo

The Senior Class of each Carroll County high school joined together this morning for the Senior Expo -- an annual tradition of unity, encouragement and challenge to graduating seniors. Carroll County alumni including Attorney Katherine Gargan and Georgia National Guard Command Sergeant Major John Ballenger challenged the seniors to set their course now to graduate in May ready to be enrolled in further education, enlisted in the armed forces or gainfully employed and focused on their career.

Seniors received a wristband in their school colors and were asked to text a photo to an accountability partner who will keep them focused on achieving their goals for their senior year. This year's senior class numbers around 1,200 divided between Bowdon High School, Central High School, Mount Zion High School, Temple High School and Villa Rica High School. Carroll County Superintendent Scott Cowart closed the program asking each senior to swap "senioritis" for seniorSTRONG, and make their senior year count.
