Five elementary schools from the Carroll County School System have been recognized for student performance or improvement by the Georgia Department of Education.
Title I Distinguished Schools
Central Elementary, Ithica Elementary, Providence Elementary, and Roopville Elementary have been named 2025 Title I Distinguished Schools. This honor is awarded to the top 5 percent of Title I schools in Georgia that demonstrate the highest overall academic performance for all students. These schools consistently show strong results in student achievement and progress, reflecting the dedication of teachers, leaders, and families to ensure that every child reaches his or her potential.
Title I Reward School
Mt. Zion Elementary has been recognized as a 2025 Title I Reward School. This distinction is awarded to Title I schools that are making the most significant gains in student achievement. Reward Schools demonstrate measurable growth over time, showing that their efforts are making a lasting impact on student learning.
