Dr. Laurie Barron, the 2013 Georgia and NASSP National Principal of the Year from Smokey Road Middle School in Coweta County, Georgia, and the 2021 Montana Superintendent of the Year, visited Carroll County Schools September 24 to deliver an inspiring message focused on a mindset of excellence to middle school principals, instructional coaches, and aspiring leaders. Dr. Barron has served as superintendent of Evergreen School District in Kalispell, Montana since 2013.
“We are deeply appreciative of Dr. Barron’s investment in our middle school leaders,” Associate Superintendent of School Performance Dr. Jessica Ainsworth said. “Her expertise and real world experience is extremely valuable as our middle school leaders are dedicated to offering a top-tier experience for our students and staff. I commend our middle school leadership for the demonstrated achievements in each of their schools.”
“I enjoyed investing my time with Carroll County Schools," Barron said. "They are a proven district of choice, attributed to a commitment to providing a well-rounded education for all students, encompassing academics, arts, athletics, and various activities."
