bands on the field at the Carroll County Marching Band Exhibition

Marching bands from Bowdon High, Carrollton High, Central High, Mount Zion High, Temple High, Villa Rica High and the University of West Georgia thrilled crowds of fans Tuesday, September 30 at the Carroll County Marching Band Exhibition hosted by Villa Rica High School at Sam McIntire Stadium. All six high school bands joined on the field to play the national anthem and share in a tribute to the late Dr. Norman L. Padgett, a longtime band director, school administrator and school board member in Carroll County. Proceeds from the exhibition benefit a scholarship given in his memory to high school graduates each year.

This year, the exhibition also honored staff from the Carroll County Schools Performing Arts Center for their work hosting over 325,000 guests since the PAC opened in 2017. During last year alone, the PAC hosted nearly 250 events and over 40,000 individual guests.
